Egypt – The Land of Mystery
Egypt is in Africa. Africa isn't biggest continent. Cairo is the capital city. Alexandria or Giza are cities in Egypt, but Cairo is the biggest.The Nile is the longest river. It's longer than the Congo
or the Limpopo.
Most Ancient Egyptian pyramids were built as tombs for pharaohs. The Pyramid of Khufu at Giza is the largest Egyptian pyramid.
The Egyptian alphabet contained more than 700 hieroglyphs. It's very difficult.
Cats were considered to be a sacred animal by the Ancient Egyptians. It’s thought that most families kept a cat as a pet, which they believed would bring the household good luck! Camels and cobras live in Egypt. The cobra was the symbol of power for the Pharaoh.
On the13-th December 2013, snow fell in the Middle East, including the city of Cairo above. The first time in 112 years.
